Spoiling myself..

I decided it was time to treat myself for two reasons. 1. My hard work for Nicole Freeman needed to be rewarded and 2. I haven't treated myself in far too long.

I bought a Mink Pink knitted jumper with 3/4 length sleeves. I love the holey detail on the jumper and for this reason, I also bought a lace crop top to wear underneath it. The crop top also works well as a comfy alternative to a bra. Both pieces are from Urban Outfitters.

I also treated myself to a ditsy floral print playsuit, also from Urban Outfitters. Not something I'd usually be drawn to, but thought I would try something more feminine for once. The cut out detail breaks up the print nicely and I look forward to wearing this little number with converse and a denim jacket when the sun comes out. My final (and favourite) purchase is a pair of dungarees from American Apparel. Due to their expense, I decided to order these online to save myself 15% so I'm looking forward to having these babies delivered in the next few days.

Bark Jewellery

Bark is a beautifully intricate brand of jewellery, created by Miwako Yoshioka. Each collection posses a nostalgic characteristic which defines Bark's quality. Yoshioka's inspirations are drawn from her childhood memories which is reflected through her darling designs. Each and every piece is delicately hand made to perfection in her London workshop, increasing the speciality of her jewellery. I have featured my favourite items above, a tiny ship in a bottle attached to a gold chain necklace and an engraved heart shape ring. Bark is available to buy from a number of stockists including Paul Smith, Urban Outfitters and Mitsukosh London.

Jellies

A staple fashion item from my childhood wardrobe, amongst Princess dresses and dungarees has to be jelly shoes. I distinctly remember a little glittery, orange pair. Although there is a lack of glitter this time round, jelly shoes seem to be making a come back this summer for a slightly older audience. These JuJu jelly shoes that I love, are available from Urban Outfitters for an affordable £24. They come in an array of colours including yellow, purple, white and my two favourites pastel pink and black. I can imagine pairing these with white ankle socks and short denim dungarees as part of my summer wardrobe.

Ray Ban Classics

This week I inherited an old pair of Ray Bans. They were bought for a present for my Mum by my Dad, 20 odd years ago. I love the classic round shape of the sunglasses which are framed by a slim tortoise shell pattern. Still in their original case, the glasses have been cared for well for the past 20 years, without a single scratch in sight they're in tip top condition.

During my weekly online window shopping session I spotted something very familiar on the Urban Outfitters website. A pair of round, Ray Ban sunglasses, costing £120 (below). It seems that the style of the sunglasses that were handed down to me may be finding its way back in fashion. The main difference between the two pairs is the colour of the frame; the ones on the UO page were a simple gold tone, compared to my tortoise shell ones, which I prefer. I'm looking forward to the coming summer days when I can where my new hand me downs.

Tropical Toes

I'm a sucker for anything bright and patterned coming across these on my daily internet window shop sent a smile across my face. These wedges would brighten up anyone's day or outfit and would be perfect in summer. I love the Hawaiian print and the parrot detail is adorable and they get me in the right mood for a holiday. For £75 it's a bit of a splurge for me at the moment, but if I start saving the pennies then I can snap up these beauties from Urban Outfitters.

Urban Outfitters Swimwear

In the last week the sunshine has been breaking through the clouds and the temperature has (slightly) risen. Granted, it's still cold and I won't leave the house without a jacket and jumper but the glimmer of sun has got me longing to summer already. With my plans for the holidays building up nicely, I need to start thinking about my summer wardrobe. These two bikinis (£28 each) from Urban Outfitters will do me when the heat rises over the summer. The first one is covered in miniature elephants, which I find adorable and the second in a tribal Aztec print. I would love them both.

Feeling Fruity

My two favourite Valentine's day cards I have spotted this year. Both irresistibly cute and both of them featuring fruit. The first one is kitsch and vintage inspired from Urban Outfitters (£3.50) and the second is eye-catching with a home made feel, from another store I love, Lazy Oaf (£2.75). Feel fruity this Valentine's day.

Urban Outfitters Bedding

I came across the home section on the Urban Outfitters website and fell in love with their vibrant and quirky collection of bedding they have available. They stock pillow cases, duvet cases and bed throws that would add a personal touch to any bedroom. The prices range from an affordable £25's for selected throws and pillow cases to a pocket stretching £130's if you want something more detailed. Unfortunately for me, living in a student house, I sleep (uncomfortably) in my springy single bed, so even if I was to dip into my student loan, the patterned throws wouldn't be seen to their full potential. I am however, debating to invest for the future. The Indian inspired, elephant border tapestry throw would do me just nicely.
