Ashish AW12
The AW12 collection by Ashish included some of my favourite things: raindows, sequins and smiley faces. Ashish blended together an overload of sequins with a laid back, slouchy silhouettes added a sporty vibe to the array of looks that paraded down the catwalk. The 'Cloud 9' and 'Heaven 7' tops are my favourite items from the collection, both of which I would love to own and would wear day after day. Oversized tie-dye tops, slogan jumpers and football socks peeking out the top of lace up boots were also personal perks to the collection. As always with Ashish, there was lots of clashing colours and prints that work oh so well together. The layering of all the outfits added a wearable creditability to the collection, not something that can be said for all designers. There is a consistent vibe of 'street style' throughout the collection, and I can imagine the clothes to be worn by London's cool kids (if they could afford it). Another strong collection that reminds me why London Fashion Week is the best fashion week out there. Long live Ashish, the King of Sequins.
GET THE LOOK: The trick to re-create any Ashish look is sequins. Nab an old rugby shirt from your brother or boyfriend and hand stitch sequins onto the collar and cuffs, or if your feeling extra some extra sparkle, sew them on to create a slogan, like '7 Heaven'. Knee high football socks can be bought in American Apparel for only £8.00, which you can wear with any pair of boots. The tie-dye dresses are the easiest look to re-create.. grab an over-sized white tee-shirt, dye in your favourite colours and some elastic bands and get creative tie-dying. Another tip is layering, so jumpers, jackets, tops, dresses over the top of each other will work nicely. For Ashish bling, nose to ear stud earrings are now available in Topshop. To complete the look, pull back your hair into a high pony tail on the top of your head, neatness isn't necessary.

Meadham Kirchhoff Obsession Continued...
I have quickly become obsessed with anything Meadham Kirchhoff do. Their collection and show together were the best thing to come out of London Fashion Week. When I came across these images on the Topshop blog, I just had to nab them and re-post them here...

Meadham Kirchhoff AW12
Meadham Kichhoff was the show I was most excited to see. The designs brought to life by the duo are both unconventional and uncompromising. To me, it's what fashion should be about; you can't compare their dedicated work to anyone else's. Their AW12 collection was a marvel of eccentric designs. The models pranced round the catwalk, that was transformed into a dance floor, with flashing lights and disco beats, the finale finishing with ABBA, 'Dancing Queen'. The constant clashing of colours, prints and textures worked surprisingly well together. With oompa loomp style face make-up and munchkin-esque hair, the show was not short of a fantastical vibe. Th element of reality must not be erased as beneath the extravaganza are some very wearable items. My favourite show so far, shoes covered in glitter, appliquéd denim and cutesy checked dresses. Pom poms, sequins, embellishments and an overdose of glitter, the show had it all. In the case of Meadham Kirchhoff, more is definitely more.
GET THE LOOK: Customisation is key. Pick up kitsch badges and patches to sew on to shirts/jackets/blazers. Pick up buttons in an array of colours and use them to replace the plain buttons on old shirts. Layer strapless dresses over shirts with the top button done up and then team it with a stripy or glittery pair of coloured tights. Hot pants in animal print or covered in sequins can also be worn over coloured tights. Hair and make-up needs to be just as over the top as the clothes, bright eye shadow, glitter round the eyes and a bold lipstick choice while hair needs to be accessoriesed in the form of bows or pom poms. The more colours and textures used in your look, the better. Dance your way down the street to complete your disco-tastic Meadham Kirchhoff inspired style.

House of Holland AW12
Henry Holland is one designer to always inject a sense of youth and playfulness into his collections for House of Holland. Neon brights is a trend I have already picked up on for AW12, in contrast to the usual greyness we see around that time of year. At House of Holland, Holland infused these vivid tones in the form of dogtooth prints, clashing stripes and block colours throughout his array of designs. No Holland collection is complete without a dose of cheekiness, and for AW12 it was done so in the form of an orange cap with the slogan, 'Ride It', plastered across the front. Despite the bold range of colours, dungaree dresses and ankle socks, a sophisticated twist has been added to Holland's collection, in the form of knitted cardigans and sharp tailoring. Maybe this season, Holland's girl is growing up.

Sister by Sibling AW12
The Sister by Sibling show was right up my street. The clashing of leopard print with hot pinks and neon oranges created an outlandish explosion of winter wear, only for those who dare to be different. Hairy handbags added a really wild effect, while a countless about of sequins in midnight blue and shiny silver added a party essence to the collection. My favourite aspect without a doubt was the use of pom poms. The pom poms were positioned in a way to imitate ears of creatures, making the collection even more animalistic. Although the wear-ability of one of these looks as a whole may be rather outrageous, if you select a single item, such as the leopard print cardigen which is trimmed with fair isle print, and the clothing becomes very wearable, and desirable indeed.
